Essay Revision Workshop

Essay revisions are for students who submitted an
original essay.
o
Choose Essay: Decide whether to revise Essay 1 or
Essay 2. (Only if you submitted an original essay).
o
Review Feedback: Carefully read the feedback
provided on your original essay.
o
Revise and Resubmit: Make substantial revisions
that address the feedback. Don't just correct minor errors.
o
Submission Folder: You will submit your revised
essay to the
REV Essay 1 or
REV Essay 2 folder by December 13th.

Final Exam Review:

The final exam is worth 100 points.
·
The final exam should take no more than an hour
to complete, but you have 1 hour and 50 minutes.
·
Review Course Materials: Refer to your syllabus
and identify key concepts, skills, and knowledge areas covered throughout the
semester. During the exam, you can use your notes, textbook, handouts
(especially Masterguides to MLA and Academic Essay and Integrity), the syllabus,
and any other relevant document.
·
The exam focuses on Key Areas: MLA formatting,
essay structure, grammar and mechanics, and academic integrity.
·
Take the Exam: Complete the 34-question,
open-book exam in Brightspace during the final exam period (see the class
calendar for day and time).
·
Bring a Device: Ensure you have a device (laptop,
tablet) to take the online exam. If not, you will be excused to a computer lab
to complete the exam AFTER I take attendance.
Week 17 (DEC. 7)
Tuesday
- Final Exam: 8:00-9:50 - NOTE, we meet longer than
usual for the final exam. This is a required meeting. During class you will
complete the Course Objectives Test:
Course Objectives Test - this exam will not open until 8:00 am on
December 10th. It will close at 10:00 am.
